BEAM Aquabot (video)

This initial prototype was inspired by Jim Mullen's solar powered aquabot designs. The solar cell and type-1 beam circuit are located under a clear plastic hemisphere. The bot sits on the bottom for about 4 minutes while the capacitor charges. Then the motor fires for several seconds, propelling the craft to the surface.
