EVette is an autonomous robot, not radio controlled, that navigates between waypoints using GPS. Along the way, it finds the best way, staying on any existing path, and avoiding obstacles and people using ultrasonic (sonar) sensors. The master microcontroller is a PIC16F877A. A Parallax BS2P, contained in the clear "head" reads the GPS and digital compass, and stores waypoint coordinates. The run segment here was done in the flea market area of an Antique Gas Engine show at "Jacktown Grove" near Bangor, PA.
